Clear liquids then move to full liquids after a couple of days/week usually works for me:
What is included in the clear liquid diet?:
You can consume clear juices, ices, hard candy, and gelatin. See examples below.
Examples of clear juices and beverages. :
Apple juice, grape juice, cranberry juice are okay but without the pulp. Fruit punch is okay but you may want to dilute it with water. Strained lemonade and limeade,
Beverages:
Coffee, tea (hot or cold), Kool-Aid, clear sodas, and water are all acceptable.
Soups:
Bouillon, broths, fat free consommé, and strained vegetable broth are all good choices for the clear liquid diet.
Sweets:
Fruit ices without milk, fruit ices without fruit pieces, plain gelatin dessert, popsicles, are okay.
Other Foods and Drinks:
jelly (without seeds), honey are also acceptable
Full fluid(liquid)
•All fruit juices and nectars
•Bouillon, broth
•Butter/cream/oil/margarine
•Carbonated beverages
•Cheese soup
.Coffee/Tea
•Fresh or frozen plain yogurt
•Fruit drinks
•Fruit punch
•Honey/jelly/syrup
Ice milk
•Liquid meal replacements
•Milk, all types(if you can tolorate milk)
•Milkshakes(again if you can tolorate milks)
•Pasteurized eggnog
•Plain cornstarch pudding
•Plain gelatin desserts
•Potatoes pureed in soup
•Refined/strained cooked cereal(oatmeal, Cream of wheat if tolorated)
•Small amounts of strained meat in broth or gelatin
•Smooth ice cream
•Soft or baked custard
•Strained lemonade/limeade
•Strained or blenderized soup
•Thin fruit purees
•Tomato juice
•Tomato puree for cream soup
•Vegetable juice
•Water
This might help settle your system and let everything calm down for a while until you see the Doc.
