I've been on Cimzia for around a year and I've been on the various TNF blockers for 4-5 years. I recently had a seizure. My new neurologist told me there was a rare occurence of seizures found related to Cimzia. He mentioned that he thought it related to all the TNF blockers.
Anyone else have any experience or added information for me? Is this the kind of thing that only made it more likely for me to get it, in other words I was predisposed to it anyway? Could the Cimzia have caused it completely on its own? I'm trying to decide if I should ask to get off the TNF blockers.

My seizure also happened in my sleep. I woke up confused and had bloodied my lip. I have no remembrance of it. My eeg also showed seizure activity.
I had an MRI today which I should know the results for sometime next week. My neurologist didn't think there was much chance that I had a tumor or malformation. It seems most likely at this point I either had a predisposition towards seizures or the drugs caused it.

I'm on Keppra, just started it today so I have no real info to give you on it. The possible side effects seem to be similar to a lot of the seizure drugs; drowsiness, depression, sadness, mood swings.

Did you have a lot of drowsiness or any of the other common side effects when you first started it?
They put me on a build up dosage. I'm doing 500mg twice a day for the first week then moving to 1000 mg twice a day after that.
I have 3 young kids so I'm generally exhausted all the time. It's honestly difficult to tell if I'm tired because of the drug or I'm just tired.
