Humira and sensitive scalp?

I went to the hair salon this morning to go blond and it was HELL I have had this done many times before and no promblems. Today was a diffrent experinse it hurt so much that I was holding my breath down and now that its done my scalp is read and I have open sores.
I would like to blame Humira for my very sensitive scalp.

has anyone else had this promblem?

Oh that sounds painful, the last couple of times when I got my hair colored my hair stylist only did half of the intensity..the word has slipped my mind at the moment.. but she knows I have Crohn's and I had recently been under anesthesia and all so she didn't process it 100%.

Is this the first time you got your hair dyed while being on Humira?

alot of times med will affect on how your hair reacts. either the color won't take or it may go a funky color you didn' want, or your skin becomes ultra sensitive. ( ex- hairdresser)Next time maybe ask her not to use such a high vol. of developer. It may not be the blond you are looking for but at least your poor head will feel better. For the next few days be kind to your head, if you must wash it, do it in coolish water and don't scrub to hard.

I have not done my hair with a permanent color since I started Humira.

This time it was so bad and we did not end with the color we where looking for.
I was a model for a hair dresser :S I have done that so many times over the years but I guess my career as a hair model is over :P

She did give me some scalp treatment and sensitive scalp shampoo so hopefully it will be better soon.

Thank takilra and Endeavor08 I had no idea this could do this to my hair :S

Developer that's the word I was looking for! Haha..my hair dresser didn't use as much developer.

Since being on Humira, my scalp is very sensitive to certain shampoos, though I don't know the specific ingredient(s) that cause my scalp to itch so much. I've trialed and errored and have a very limited variety of shampoos and conditioners I can use. I don't color my hair so I can't chime in on the coloring bit.
