Anyone get throat ulcers, from the back of the throat to the stomach? I had to crush percocets to a powder and drink them down. Couldn't eat. Two week, lost 17 lbs. Abdomen feels good, can hardly talk... getting a little better now. Family doc wanted me to take zulvirax...couldn't swallow them. Could this be a throat flare? Can't get into the GI guy until Feb 28th...

It very well could be. I'd either go to an ENT if the ulcers are up high enough for him to see and biopsy or call your GI. The crohns in my esophagus was diagnosed with an upper endo. They had to put me on pred to calm the flare then I went on Remicade. I haven't had such a bad one since and that was 5 years ago. I do get ulcers in the back of my mouth/top of throat occasionally still. Usually when I've been snacking on a little too much chocolate or sugary snacks.

Thanks, my wife is an RN called and talked to the GI's nurse, trying to get me in earlier. Will probably find out tomorrow. They are subsiding a little, but can still hardly talk.
