LDN and travel issues

My daughter is leaving on vacation for Australia in less than two weeks and was very excited until she found out today that the Australian government requires that she have a PERMIT to bring her LDN medication with her.

Seems naltrexone is on the list of prohibited imports:(  I hope she can get the permit in time.  

Thx! This is what the Australian government TGA emailed to us:

"Naltrexone is captured under Schedule 8 of the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulation 1956. therefore this medication cannot be brought into Australia unless a permission has been granted prior to importation. In order to request permission to import naltrexone we request that your daughter provide us with the information detailed in the attached document.  It is important that your daughter also provide a copy of a prescription or letter from her medical practitioner to accompany this document."

Geez...it's a good thing we checked their website and found out naltrexone was prohibited, or Australia might have confiscated it in customs when she arrived in Sydney! 

Whew! She got the letter of permission!

We expect the low dose naltrexone to be able to help her wean completely off Entocort, like it did before. It also eliminated all her symptoms. We didn't do a colonoscopy - we assumed that because the labs showed slighly elevated CRP and sed rates, there was probably still a couple of spots of low level inflammation in her intestine.

The best thing about LDN was that in the year she was on it, she didn't catch a single cold - within two weeks of going off LDN, she developed a very bad cold that hung on for three weeks. Then she got the flu. Then she got another bad cold - all within the space of a few months. While on and off LDN, she has also been on the SCD diet, which has probably helped.
