READ IT-- YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!!!!

Ok so now that I've got your attention I just want to say thanks!  We are all dealing with a heck of a lot of crap (haha) and it's so nice to know you are all here with a shoulder, suggestions, empathy, expertise, hope and compassion!  Although I've only met one of you in person -- very cool thing to do by the way, and talk (email) offline with another I really feel you're all here for me in one way or another and i truely appreciate that! 

I really value the relationships I'm building with the folks I alluded to above and hope I have the opportunity to do so with more of you in the future! 

It took me so long to go public with my Crohn's - for years even good friends didn't know (which is why i lost a lot of them)...but lately it's been a lot easier to be honest with myself and others and not be scared nor embarrased...and you all have a lot to do with that- so thanks!

I've been involved with some things here in Arizona lately and have even been in the position where I have spoken about my Crohn's in front of hundreds of people.  It's liberating in a way- and you know what????  I am SHOCKED how many people have Crohn's or have a family member or friend with Crohn's...

so anyway- thanks to you all for being here not just for me but for everyone who visits healingwell.com.  this is really a great community!

HW. job well done. that is exactly what this forum is about, IMHO.

people helping people, can't stand to read people hawking miracle cures to us, that isn't what HW is about. this thread should be sent to peter weller.(I think that's his name). This forum can help so many of us, from shoulders to cry on(whine) or to get really good medical advice from real people who suffer like we all do. I love this forum or this support group because we're open 24/7, that's a great feeling.

I was thinking the same thing how shocking it is that nearly everyone I know either knows someone or has a family member that has this DD! Hopefully this increase in numbers will translate in to more research dollars for finding a cure!

No body knows the trouble I seen, no body knows my sorrow. Words to a song we all know well , but then you find out that somebody does know the sorrow and your mind set changes. Suddenly your not the only one and you see that there will always be some more fortunate than you but also some far worse. Glad you found us mtgman, and sorry you needed to . Now we are in this together and thanks for the thanks , plus thanks for being here for us too...

 This reply goes out to Sniper: You all have been so helpful on everything, but Iam also scared and worried right now, because I had to go thru a CT scan, I guess their checking for a bladder fistula, cause I ended up with a UTI I couldn't get rid of. I was supposed to start Humira, but now I have to wait and see what the CT scan shows. I have to go to my primary care doctor for the results. I have pre-existing liver issues with this now, which according by my GI doctor since last Oct/2010, have been good. But it still worries me Sniper  that something else might be wrong. I'm trying to be optimistic over this whole ordeal, but its hard sometimes!!! I know I've also spoke with Becomingundone, that also has Crohns and PSC, and she has also been a good help, and hope she is doing well too!! I haven't seen any of her posts recently. Have you ever had to go thru a CT scan or anything like that? Take care and keep me posted--Hugs--Silvergriz
