i love me some chippy pickles!! im too scared to try them jst now while im flarin.

anyone recommend i stay away or what? i know there a raw veggi so think ther not too good. i just love them!!!

I Can't have pickles, even in remission. Not even relish, makes for some sad tartar sauce when I eat fish...

I love Bubbies pickles. They're fermented, which should make them easier on the body then raw.

I no longer even try them.

I can hanle the bit o relish in tartar sauce for my fish though.

I love dill pickles, I can eat them too. when we lived in canada, they have this stuff you give crying babies, it's called Gripe water. all it is,is dill pickle juice. we would give a dropper full to our daughter when she was infant for late night crying, she was collicky, so to this day, she is 21 and her fav. food is dill pickles. anybody in UK ever heard of gripe water, or canandians? wonder if they still make it.

Pickles on a Big Mac. Oh I'm drooling just thinking about it, although the hangover could be the reason as I have a serious case of the munchies. Hopefully your flare doesn't last to long. ;)

I never beven considered pickles giving me problems!

I love pickles! I've never noticed them bothering me.

I don't think I've eaten them while flaring, though.

AG, my boys lived on Gripe water when they were infants. I loved the smell of the stuff. However I
don't know if they still sell it. It might be marketed under a different name. But that stuff worked
so well on colic!!

Love Pickles! crave them so much too. Probably because of all the "D"...somedays I'll try them and do o.k....Have been known to even drink the juice:) My kids think it's gross. Try a little and becareful

I live in Canada and yes they still make gripe water, loved the stuff when my kids were babies!!

I don't eat pickles very often usually only if I have had a few months of good belly! Tarter sauce does not bother me at all and I like a little relish on foods, plus my true favorite is bread and butter pickles on a fresh buttered bun!! OH YUM!!

who would think, better invention than the wheel.it did wonders for our kid. we would bring it down for the winter, we new they didn't sell it in U.S.

I eat them all the time, flare or no flare! I just get the quarter ones and cut the skin off of them. My husband makes fun of me for "filleting pickles", but I love them waaaaaay too much not to eat them!!

i think people in america are thinking im talking about pickled gherkins?
i do love those too, but im talking about pickled onions. lol

mm think il try one tomorrow and see how i get on.
just so hard because we're all so different! just thought id check incase everyone tod me to stay well clear lol

This sounds gross but I did it all the time: Chew but don't swallow them and then spit it out...you get the flavor without the issue:)

They sell gripe water in the US, we used it for our daughter with her colic, but she absolutely hated the taste of it. I didn't know it was just pickle juice.

As someone mentioned above, I too, eat the bubbies pickles. They are fermented and in the refridgerated isle. They have beneficial probiotics.

Yep laura, I was thinking gerkins.

Onions have proven to be a HUGE NO-NO for me. Period end of sentence. No onion slices, no onion bits, can hardly tolerated onion salt.  So I would have to guess NO on pickled onions as well.  For me, if you can tolerate them outside the juice I would guess that I have no idea how they would effect you.  Even the dietician the other day said to stay away from gassy foods.............so your choice.  I do however base many things I eat these days on fear.

we have pickeled oinons at alot of our mexican fast food places here in california, I can eat oinons, they really healthy for you. sorry about confusion of pickels vs onion's. they sound yummie
