So I have had lots of problems in the past week. It all started after my 2nd loading dose of Humira. The next day my chest was heavy and I couldn't swallow. I went into the urgent care and they loaded me up on meds and sent me on my way. The next day I was still feeling horrible so went to my family practice dr and he called my GI and sent me for an emergency endoscopy. It turned out that my throat was fine but its been a week and I still feel like there is a golf ball shoved in my throat and it feels like I am suffocating when I eat food. Everyone kept asking if it was anxiety and I can guarantee you that it is NOT anxiety at all. So I got my notes from my couple visits to the urgent care and it states that my GI thinks its anxiety but the urgent care doctors disagree because they gave me anti anxiety meds and they did not help at all. Im on acid reflux meds but really don't have symptoms that GERD is causing the problem and the dr's agree that its highly unlikley that this is the problem.
ANYWAYS
Im contemplating switching GI's now if he wont take me seriously. Im anemic with low hemoglobin and hematocrit. I have lost 12 lbs in the last 2 weeks. When I go to work I get comments on how slim Im getting and my boss even asked me if I was okay.
When does your GI's take you seriously....do you just have to go in and talk to them and just say your sick? do you have to lose an extensive amount of weight? does your lab tests have to be high or low?
Thanks for your input!
