I've been on Remicade this time around for about 1 1/2 years.  It was last resort before surgery. (I've been on everything else that's out there!)  It seems to be working ok.  I've been having lots of joint pain, fatigue, still some abdominal pain and passing blood.  I feel good enough to work and function but some days are worse than others.  I know I won't feel great no matter what drug I'm on, I just was hoping for more good days than bad.

Has anyone been on Remicade but still having slight, constant symptoms of Crohn's?  If so, what was your next step in treatment?

I'm in the same boat you are. I've been flaring between infusions for over a year now and flaring bad now. I was in the hospital about 3 weeks ago. My doctor moved my remicade up (4 weeks) and I'm getting another infusion next week, at the 4 week mark. I don't think it's working for me anymore, but he's not ready to give up just yet. He also added 50 mg of 6MP to my mix and I'm on prednisone too right now. If I don't see significant improvements after this infusion, he wants to try Cimzia and if that doesn't work, I guess it's on to surgery. I've tried Humira already without success. . . Have you tried any other biologics?

I've been on Humira and Cimzia (as a trial, flared almost right away).  I'm not real fond of my GI so I'm going to see about getting into another one.  I really don't want back on prednisone...I had a rough time last time I was on it and I'm not ready to go through that again.  Where is your Crohn's located?  Mine is only in my colon so my GI mentioned removing my whole colon...not ready for that either.  I hope all works out for you, good luck!
