1 - Does Humira help fistulas like Remicade?

2 - Taking it out of the fridge and letting it warm up to room temperature.  Is this required?  Or is it just a weird sensation if you inject it cold?  How long do you let it sit out on the counter?  (OK that was 3 questions in 1!)

I am not sure about the fistuals.

As far as taking it out of the fridge - it is supposed to help the injection to not burn so bad.  I usually leave mine out for 30 minutes.  While it is sitting out I also sit down and put an ice pack on the spot where I will be doing my injection.  That seems to take some of the sting out, but it still hurts.

Humira is supposed to help with strictures not sure about fistulas though. On the keeping it out of the fridge thing, on mine it says it must not be kept out of fridge longer than 15 mins, so always inject it straight from fridge, doesn't hurt.

I think that I have read that it has healed some people's fistulas. Mine was healed with Imuran, been on humira for 2 years (after imuran stopped working) and my fistula has not come back.

I take mine out of the fridge for about 30 minutes, but no ice - sometimes I ice afterwards if I swell from the shot.

When I had a fistula The Humira helped it but it was too far gone to repair it so I did need surgery. I take mine out of the fridge and hold it in my hand for 5-10 min to get it to my body temp and ice my leg at the same time.

stomach!!!! The leg hurts so much more, you wouldn't think so but it really does. And it hurts for like 2 days. I let my pens sit oput for about 20 minutes or so before injecting them- there really isn't too much difference between one fresh from the fridge or one at room temp. I've heard Humira can help with fistulas. but it hasn't done much for mine. Maybe in the sense that it lessens symptoms, therefore the fistula is less bothersome overall.

I always inject into my leg and straight from fridge, no pain at all. No room on stomach to inject around scar tissue.

same as stripey...Into my leg and straight from fridge. Little bit of a sting but nothing that lasts too long. Really not as bad as people make it out to be thats for sure!! I have to much scars to inject in my tummy

The leg is a lot less painful for me then my stomach. And with each injection the pain lessens as my body gets used to it. I let mine sit for probably five to ten minutes just while I ice it and prep the area. I don't really notice a difference if it warms up or not.

Everybody's different, but it is interesting to see what works and doesnt work for different people : )

Oh I don't have a fistula but I have drained abscess that they are hoping will heal from the Humira.

I use my legs for my shots. When I started Humira and had to go to the GI's office for the nurse to teach me how to do them she took 1 look at my stomach and said nope lets look at your legs. I dont have much fat on my stomach and it looks like a jig saw puzzle. Mylegs are not the best either since I have to not go near stretch marks (and I have lots of them from pred)

i been on humira for nearly two years now and i still think it hurts really bad after injecting. i have it in my leg every two weeks.
although my dr is upping my injections so i have to have two now.. which i am not looking forward to one bit!!.. although i have been told about the ice pack which is ment to be good . but i havent tried this i take it out of the fridge and let it get to room temperature for about 20 minutes. i think the colder it is the more it stings for me..

but like everyone on here we all different i suppose.. although it scares me to even think about having it in my stomach lol
