I have a question for crohns suffers ? In may 2009 i began having d  waited about 6months before I went to doc.. came back

that i had c diff infection  treated with fagyl  still no better naused etc. finally c scope in june 09 had 8 ulcers in  terminal illeium

which were bioscoped anyway came back as either crohns or excessive use of anti inflammatory drugs.. So Gi doc said you have crohns started endocort  but didnt work so good added imuran started working got better gained weight back but still had a little d  so in  march 2010  was put on predisione taper 60mg felt great till june 2010 when gi doc moved away and had to get new one 2 gi docs later  and trip to clevland clinic to be scoped they now dont think i have crohns as my c scopes have beeen normal at least up till Janurary 2011 whrn i started getting real bad 26 times a day to bathroom only to be told I have cdiff

treated with flagyl  for 2 weeks  9 days latter hurting in stomach again gi doc gave vacoymicin for 2weeks well no luck after stopping antibodic  9 days sick again. This time 33 times in day. Did I mention that two days before i tested negative for cdiff.

Only to be told 2days later  i was postive agin for cdiff have spot 3inches form rectu bleeding losing weight now on treatment

again only this time taper dose 2 weeks in start running low grade fevers again anyway go back to gi doc now they say

i have antibodic resist cdiff maybe crohns or something else could it be crohns causing me not to be able to kick cdiff??

Im really stating to flip out losing weight even when no d . Dont know what to do only 39 need advise and prayer..

Aww Gobbler I am so sorry you are suffering so, and NOT getting any help. Sounds like you do have Crohns to me, but I am not a medical doc. My thoughts are that the Imuran helped to heal your Crohns some so that it wasn't showing on your scope.

Maybe another doctor opinion? Will definetely keep you in my prayers. Gentle hugs!

     One more guestion they took me off imuran on nov 16th 2010 and rescope on jan 6th 2011 I was ok execpt for spot above recctum of blood and mucos sorry so much detail anyway they said this was  c diff  probably is that enough time for crohns

to show or  would it take longer for it to show up after stopping meds ?  My blood work never shows inflamation never has

but when on steroids i feel good and everything works right.. Ct scan shows inflamation in just couple spots not much says doc

Ouch, it sure sounds like you are having a really tough time of it. Regardless of your diagnosis, I'd try some probiotics. While the antibiotics might kill probiotics, take them anyway and keep taking them. A lot of people take Culturelle, others like the VSL #3. You can get a script for the double strength VSL or order the weaker version online. They expensive but well worth it. Without some good bacteria, the c diff can grow more freely. Good luck to you!

You are showing inflammation, so that shows maybe the Imuran was working. Does C-Diff cause inflammation? I am thinking more likely its the Crohns. But I am not a doc though. I hope they get you figured out soon. Maybe another opinion is needed. Hugs!
