I was on Remicade and loved it until I became allergic to it. But I had an "oops" pregnancy (even on the pill) while on Remicade. I've now got a healthy (seemingly only allergic to cleaning her room) 9 year old. I'd take Remicade again if I could! But with all meds for us with CD, they come with risks that we have to weigh against this disease. But just know that when I was in a drug study, I had to write down EVERY sniffle, sneeze - everything, while I was on the drug. They have to report everything it seems as a side effect - cancer to sniffles. So I figure that a couple of people may already have something or it's caused by something else, but because they are in a drug study, they have to link it as a possible side effect to the drug. For instance, I had kidney stones and always had a small amount of blood in my urine when it was checked. They always reported it in my required visits - so for all I know, they could have thought stones were a side effect (although I've had them for many years before taking the med) or they could have thought blood in the urine was a side effect. I guess the drug companies have to write down everything just in case someone decides to sue over something. So look at it as a very slight possibility, never a probability.
