I switched to Humira during the first trimester. We had a healthy baby girl last October. I have always injected in the thighs and am scared to try the stomach. I found that injecting on the inner or outer fatty part of the thigh is better for me because there is more fat. The top of my thigh has too much muscle and it hurt more.
I used humira up until delivery (she was 1 month early) and continued after giving birth. The crohn's was in remission thruout the pregnancy and has continued for the past 6 months (aside from the occasional slip up from eating a salad) We are still breastfeeding and she is gaining weight and we are both feeling good. The doc said that if you have a calm pregnancy and delivery, there is a better chance that your crohns will stay in remission. I certainly hope so! Good luck
