Cimzia and itchy skin

Hello all,
I am in my seventh week of using cimzia. It is going great and I have been able to reduce my prednisone intaake from 15 mg to 4 mg. My question is....I'm getting itcy skin and I'm wondering if they will take me off the drug because of that. It is mild so far. I don't scratch oftens but when I do it looks red with some small bumps. They go away when I stop scratching.

Has anyone else had the itchy skin ? Does it go away or get worse? Will they take me off the med?

Yeah, I had itchy skin for a while after starting Cimzia, for a few months or so. But it hasn't bothered me for many months now.

i was itchy from my last round of remicaide..Hopeing this time round a good ol dose of benadril(sp?) will calm that down. Not sure if you can take that with Cimzia though. check with yer dr.

Have same rxn to Humira. Have to take fexofenadine 180 mg daily which controls it. I notice anytime I forget to take it, though! It's available over the counter now.

I am taking Cimzia and having constant itching problems. It is driving me crazy. I will have to tell my doctor. I was trying to ignore the symptoms but now I see others are having the same itching. Will I need to be taken off? Or take something for itching?

Oh my... KANDC88 I just posted something asking if anyone gets itchy with Humira.... sorry to ask on your post page eve7777, but KANDC88 do you get red blotchy itchy skin all over or just on your legs..?? and should i tell my dr..??? Eve7777 I am suffering from the itchyness too but just from a different medication.... I hope your dr can prescribe you something that can help....
