Here's an odd question:
I saw many people's responses saying they wish they could eat bacon. I have never had a problem with bacon, and had never heard of it causing problems.
What is it about bacon that some people can't eat it?
It doesn't cause problems directly, but when I'm not in full remission, I have bad reactions to it and may make my flare up worse.
During my flare, my intestines are not able to absorb fat and reabsorb bile so my symptoms somewhat worsen.
And some people are sensitive to the preservatives added in the bacon. They may be able to tolerate pork chops but not bacon, unfortunately.
