Why is your doc suspecting lupus ?
I see that you just got diagnosed, the first days are very hard, its a big shock for you to be diagnosed with a illness that will affect you for the rest of your live.
And its normal to have anxiety about it. But trust me it will get easier as you go along. It does not seem like it at first but you need to work through that.
Doctors can also make small things seem VERY scary by not giving us the right info, I have had that happen more then once.
Last time I met with my Rheumatologist he said that he heard a extra sound in my heart and told me that it could be a blockage but I should not worry because it was very small !
Well I did worry I worried a lot, until I saw the heart specialist. And guess what there is nothing wrong with my heart :) The sound the Rheumatologist was hearing was a very normal sound for a person my age, and my heart could not be better..
I know its hard getting on with life when the doc is saying that there is something serious going on in your body, but try to do it any way.
Stress has a bad affect on all auto immune diseases so if you worry to much you are not helping your body.
You know our bodies are made to live so we will not just drop dead one day with out something serious being wrong.
Hugs to your Adam, hope you get well soon and that the docs can figure out what is going on with your body
