Pancreas or Kidneys? Maybe just flare..

My crohn's has been flaring for about 2 months now.. I'm on entocort and vicodin until I can make the switch to Humira next week. I am having HORRIBLE back pain on both sides, pressure/bloating feeling and just general abdominal discomfort 24/7. I had a reflexology massage in April and I had pain in the place that connects to the pancreas. I also have wondered if it's possibly my kidneys. I was on remicade for almost 5 years until 5 weeks ago. I really don't want to go back to my GI until I have tried the humira for a few weeks because maybe it will help...

BUT wondered if anyone had ideas/suggestions/thoughts/experiences with a similar situation..??

You should definitely have that checked out...my first flare i had terrible back pain and was admitted to the er and at first they thought i had pancreatitis but none of the other symptoms fit...I was also severely dehydrated and it was not a fun experience! your doc could probably do a quick blood test to see how everything is functioning!

I've had severe attacks of pancreatitis several times now. The pain is right in the center of your tummy,
radiating through to the back. Sometimes the pain can be relieved by leaning forward. However, the pain
gets so severe, along with distension and vomiting that a hospital stay is very necessary.

Do not leave any pain too long before getting it checked.
PS, if your pain is bi-lateral, I would think it would more likely be a kidney issue. Good luck!!
