My face burns a lot. I've been tested for Lupus and the doctor said I don't have that.

But do people with Crohn's Disease get red burning faces?

When I am flaring, my cheeks get red. In fact, my husband will ask me if I am flaring even before I start with the diarrhea and blood. It is usually my first sign.

Are you saying that your face feels hot or that your cheeks are red?

Hot flashes or flushes can certainly make your face feel hot.  I'm pretty sure you're not a menopausal woman, Adam W, so I'm not going to blame estrogen for your flushes.  But my husband got them too, when he was taking Niaspan for some heart disease prevention thing.  Something about the vitamin niacin can give you a flush of heat.

haha, nope not a menopausal woman. it feels hot, AND it's red. sometimes it's hot to the touch.

Are you on steroids? My face gets flushed and warm when I'm on higher doses of steroids, and also when I'm tapering them. In fact that's how I tell if I've missed a dose cool

is pentasa a steroid? otherwise, no I'm not...
but I am on Klonopin and Tramadol

I've had this issue too since so long ago. Way before getting diagnosed. It would get red randomly for no reason at the most random places, especially in crowded areas.

Maybe ask your doc if one of those drugs can cause flushed face. I too take Tramadol, though occasionally, and only when my sciatic pain is expecially bad. I've noticed that for me, several hours after I do take it my face gets hot and flushed.

Kazbern- When my cheeks get red, it is not from being hot or flushed nor from being menopausal. It is from my colon becoming inflamed. It is really strange but it happens every time I flare. It looks like I have on too much blush!
