Since the beginning of the year my wife's Crohn's has been causing her to go through bouts of vomiting and not being able to eat. She lost 25 lbs down to 100 lbs. She is 5'6".
We had an appointment with her doctor 3 weeks ago and on the way there she started vomiting. Vomited 2 more times at the doctors office and made me take her home. This was a friday. She didn't eat anything until late sunday. Monday afternoon we went back to the doctor. He went through all her test results and said he saw inflammation where the large and small intestines meet. He didn't find anything but said it was hard to see because of the inflammation. He still feels there is something there. He did take biopsies and they all came back negative. He said he wanted to put her on a medication and see what happened. He gave her 6 samples of Entocort told her to start taking 2 every morning. Tuesday morning she took 2 and went to work. She came home around 5:30 and said she felt great. She has been taking 2 every morning since. All her pain is gone, her stomach is no longer bloated, BM's are no longer liquid and she is eating everything in sight. She has never looked better. She goes back to the doctor tomorrow. We are not sure what he will suggest next but we are hopeful.
