Constipation to diarrhea in one bm?

Has anyone dealt with constipation for days and then go to fighting to get the constipation out because diarrhea is forcing it's way out? Sorry to be graphic.

This crap (pun intended) has become my new norm. I have a dr appointment this week, just looking for some insight on causes for this, afraid I will earn some colon scope points for this (if only we earned rewards for every colonoscopy).

I believe that this sort of constipation diarrhea cycle is quite common with chronic constipation. In the case of long bouts of constipation, new solid wastes work past the constipation obstruction by remaining liquified longer to avoid intestinal blockage.

Well they are just tweaking my miralax dosage and taking a wait and see approach, and didn't seem very alarmed.  No major concerns, so that is good.

Yup, that happens to me periodically. Normally, I just have lots of D, but there are times--maybe possible flares--when I go the opposite way. I'll be blocked up for a day or two, after which . . . come the deluge. It is definitely not fun.
