Could I possibly be having problems because I'm not getting finished in the bathroom?

I made another thread kind of addressing different issues, but the past 2 days I've noticed something. Due to having a hemorrhoid and whatever else is wrong with me, be it crohn's, ibs, i'm still not certain, everytime I use the bathroom, I notice how swollen my anus is when trying to pass something. It's not swollen on the outside just the inside, so when I'm pushing, it hurts, and it makes it rough to pass something, especially something solid. The pain it's causing, and just the way the swelling feels when I'm going, makes me not want to push as hard, as I feel like I may do damage, or something will frickin fall out from pushing too hard.

Therefore, it seems as if I'm not having the BM I should have had. Can this cause me to go to the bathroom more? Can having poop stored in your colon because you couldn't/were too scared to pass it cause problems? I ask this because, for 2 days in a row, I can go from absolutely miserable for hours, and then one good BM and it's like I'm a new person. Yesterday I felt like trash for about 6 hours after I woke up. Finally I had enough to courage to try harder when using the bathroom, and I had a real nice BM, and felt 100% better. Today, once again, I've felt horrible all day, again for another 6 hours, and finally, I just decided to push harder during a BM and sure enough, I dropped a nice load hah. Now I feel as if nothing is even wrong.

Can anyone follow this? I've been having an absolutely horrible time for about a month and a half, and just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this.

yes absolutely it can make you feel like you say nothing wrong. when I get cramps, and its what I call gas blockage, i'm in fetile position until I either pass gas or lucky enough to have bm. but usually when that happens my small bowel area is inflammed at resected site, just passing gas is all it takes for me to have cramps stop, but I don't go to br because that area is a little to swollen, but as long as I'm not obstructed I feel I'll be OK, that's what I have pain med's for, I try to not let myself get to that point. it's a day to day thing for us cd'er's.

Have you tried going soft low residue diet, maybe a fleets to loosen things up? Pound fluids too if you don't already, could help as well. But yeah, definitely see your doc.
