I really, really need to make a trip to Oregon, it will be a 5-6 hour drive. Alone. Now I love to drive, but it's construction season and I seem to be developing a fear of getting caught in a long delay, and having to go. This fear is probably unreasonable as my crohn's symptoms have made massive improvement! (knock on wood)
As a result of my fear I am doing what I do best, Procrastinate!
I had my Remicade yesterday. Yay! So... this should be the best time for me pack a bag and head out....Just need to pack all those meds and give myself a little pep talk

*mumble, mumble, you can do it, more mumbling, I think i can, don't forget the wipes, mumble mumble, plenty of extra clothes, more mumbling....*

Ok.. I think I can go pack now...

I hate long car journeys, always make me feel light headed for some reason. Like I'm on a boat on rough seas. :/

You can do it!!!!!!!!! Playing music or a book on tape on those long trips tends to help ease my fear of what may or may not happen too

Of course you can do it! If you want to be prepared for a roadside emergency, take a few tupperware containers with lids, as well as your disposable wipes, and a couple of plastic grocery bags. If you're truly desperate, you can park on the shoulder, run into the bushes with your tupperware, snap the lid on, and put the whole thing in a plastic bag. You can toss the whole thing out at the next stop. I've never had to do this, but it may ease your mind to know you have a Plan B.

I hate trying to plan road trips! I get soo anxious :( My Crohns symptoms are all over the place though. If yours are pretty well controlled, you should be fine!

You will do well. Ya might also take a blanket in case your tupperware party (potty) is not in the most private place. lol

Bucket, bags, paper and life is good. Cop a squat next to the car door, should provide enough cover to keep ya hidden, just uh, windows down when you're done for a few lol. or if you have a hitch on your vehicle, they make toilet seats that hook up to that. Comfy stuff!

Why do today what you can put off till tomorrow , right. Just stuff some paper towels in your drawers and hit the road. Thats what I do . You will do fine .

I keep a small 1 gal bucket with garbage bags in my trunk. I haven't had to use it yet thankfully, but its there ready to go just in case.
