Yes, of course
One percent of the population is gluten intolerant, but between one out of 7 or one out of 10 are gluten sensitive. I tested negative for gluten intolerance but eating wheat, rye, or barley will send me to flarestown. I am definitely gluten sensitive and I don't believe there is a test for it.
I wasn't always this way, it came up only the past couple of years. I suspect that one reason why so many find the SCDiet helpful is because it is gluten-free.

I *think* yes. Sometimes I eat wheat with seemingly no problem and I've even experienced GF products that made me go more. It's confusing.
I try to keep my grains mixed, but limit the whole wheat and gluten, and try to stick to wheat products that have sourdough in them. I've also gone completely wheat free and even grain free when I did the Maker's Diet too.

I can't be sure. But what I do know is that I went gluten free 2 weeks before I was hospitalized and my Crohns was worse than it has been in 11 years according to my GI doctor (who has been my GI doctor for all 11 years), he said that my tests show that the Crohns had spread to a whole new section of my GI track that it was never at.
I don't know what the cause of the flare actually was or why it suddenly spread and became worse out of nowhere, but I do know that once I went back to my typical diet, I felt much better. I still have some of the gluten free foods in my pantry, but I doubt I will buy anymore.

I just gave up on it because it did nothing to help me but that's not to say it wont help you .

I went gluten free as part of SCD. I am in remmission. I will not be eating this in the future.
So my experience is "yes"
