Concerned about humira temp in the fridge

looks like our fridge is  dying the freezer is no longer freezing and our freezer and fridge are leaking a clearish brownish liquid.  We told the landlady and she said she would get to it but I am not sure when and I have 8 Humira syringes in there we do have an extra freezer so I moved all of the food over from the old freezer but even drinks are not staying cool so far the boxes are still cold any ideas?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the fridge. Even the smallest things can explode to big problems for people with Crohn's; sucks eh? As if we need more stress in our lives.

Some ideas:
1) Call the Humira hotline, they might be able to help
2) Buy a mini fridge, they're reasonably priced
3) Check your local pharmacy - they might be nice and be able to store it for you short term
4) Try a family member, friend or coworker's fridge

The best thing to do is go out to rite aid/super fresh/ wall mart anywhere that sells styrofoam boxes or large containers. Just like the ones that the humira is shipped in, and stuff it with ice packs. If you cannot get ice packs that are already frozen get bags of ice until you get your fridge fixed.

I used to keep the ice packs that were used to ship the medicine for something like this. The first thing you should do to cover your arse is call the humira hotline and let them know. And i second the idea of getting a small ice cooler.

I called the hotline, she said best way to tell if my cooler I had them in was keeping it proper temp was a refrigerator thermo...dont have one neither did our fridge, the landlady is going to town tomorrow and going to look at lowes for a new one luckily my hubby only has 1 vial of insulin atm granted another is on order his come in the styrofoam shipment boxes but we had just thrown a bunch out we keep the ice packs though so until we found a box to put them all in (I had 4 boxes..2 months supply from having to miss a week here or there etc) and she is keeping them in her fridge til we get a new one. ours is leaking brownish watery liquid from the freezer it is semi freezing i.e. the ice made this morening around 10 am has some ice crystals in it but no way is it cubes like it should be. Drinks are not staying as cold as norm...we typically get leftovers with ice on the mid shelf so i use to keep my meds bottom shelf. I get my meds from Riteaid but cant see myself bringing them back and forth

So your landlady isgoing to replace your fridge when she gets back from vacation. If that is so give her the bill on the humira and she should pay for that.

Do you not have a neighbour that could store them for you until new fridge arrives, that way it is close and convenient.

I agree with stripey, why not ask a neighbor to store them for you until the new frig gets there??? I am sure they would understand your need.

We did ask last night for the land lady to hold onto it however we placed all of it in a box to hold onto luckily my husbands insulin whne open can be room temp and should be we have another on order which should be here tomorrow that comes in a cooler tho. She is supposedly going into town today and going to check prices out at lowes...I hope she dpoes more than that had to place meat etc in the freezer part of the fridge (the ice cubes from 26 hrs ago are still not frozen solid but partly frozen so I didnt dare put my humira up there...All the rest of the items in the fridge now are mostly drinks or things that if they get room temp isnt detrimental. The real landlord doesnt live near here but the person we call the landlady is her real life friend she is the one who calls exterminators etc when there were carpenter ants etc.
