has anyone tried Reiki as an alternative medicine for Crohns? I just had a session that really impacted me . . . I could feel the heat and light over my abdomen . . . but the next day I had bad diarreah and some pain. The Reiki master told me that this might happen, as the energy flow would release in my body . . . . I'm just wondering if anyone on the forum has had experience with this. Thanks!

oooh i always wanted to!!!!

i actually had a reiki master tell me that my energy was messed up because of my surgeries and that she couldnt work with me :(

alternatively now i see a naturopath and will see a homeopath next week :)

What does the homeopath do? I am really interested in combining western and eastern medicine to get me whole

from my understanding (which i dont have alot of!) they base their science on: from within to without. now, what all that means, not sure and i dont want to google it. i would rather sit with her and talk it out.

she's very successful here and she's healed alot of people with IBS, bleeding ulcers etc. i'll let you know next week :P

she's actually in school with me to also become a naturopathic doctor so she can combine both schools of teaching. she's quite impressive and 65! so she actually graduates when she's 70! she's so brilliant.

I just found out last week that my insurance works with a more naturopathic company and we get discounts on massage therapy, chiropractors, and accupuncture.

Not sure that anyone has had luck with accupuncture and CD, but I've been having really bad menstrual cramps so I'm thinking of trying it for that.

i've heard acupuncture works as well! there is soo much out there!! people are so scared to look outside the box sometimes.

let me know if you try it for your cramps! i have the same issue!! :D

Yes, I would love to hear of any success stories that you all have with alternative medicine . . . I am on Humira, 6MP and Lialda . . . . so I am not neglecting western medicine, but I am still not in total remission . . . .
