Well, haven't been doing so great lately, so I decided to follow homeopathy to see if it helps. That doesn't mean I'm not taking my "regular" medication, just adding the homeopathy meds as well. I have to get rid of the pred since I've been taking it since March, now taking 1 pill a day.
Problem is I'm ok in the mornings, meaning, I have gas, bms etc. Then it's like everything shuts down. I'm bloated, I have nausea, pain, I'm tired.
This is a very difficult time for me, I didn't have a good summer, many things happened family wise, and all this economical situation here in Greece is killing my guts. I wake up every day with a calculator on my mind, meaning what do I have to pay, how much money we have etc. That's not good for Crohns is it???
My GI is a wonderful person, but he just fills in prescriptions for more medicine, which don't do much. He does not want to discuss surgery, he thinks we can still fight it. On the other hand is it normal to prescribe Ciproxin or Flagyl, just because I have some extra bms and pain? I mean, I would understand if I was running a high temperature or had a fistula etc. Plus I am concerned that if I keep taking these meds all the time, then they will not be working if I really need them... I know he is trying to help me, I can see it in his eyes that he really wants to help me feel better, he's been a GI for 35 yrs and has seen many Crohns cases, although very rare disease in Greece. He is convinced that stress and anxiety worsens CD symptoms, so he suggested I begin some kind of sports like walking, cycling or pilates.
My husband thinks what I have is very managable (sp?), my daughters (16 and 12 yrs old) worry about my health, for example they are pushing me to eat all the time, it's like they are making sure I'm doing OK.....
Anyway, too many thoughts in one post, sorry!
Hope everybody is doing OK, I pray for everybody every single night in my prayers.
