ha! i've taken them too in desperation!!!! i actually had the bottle version of citramag (lemon flavor lol, like it makes a difference) in my fridge in case my sis or i needed to get relief. now, they only come in cherry and i refuse to buy them.

3 weeks ago, i was in the same position as you and i took 2 sachets of pico and my GI dr said to go to ER to make sure that i didnt have an obstruction. ER dr (8 hrs later fml) gave me prescription for ducosate sodium and lax-a-day. took 1 ducosate and HALLELUJAH!!!!!!

so i would take them! however, if by tomorrow you dont do the poo, you call your GI or go to ER to tell them. you might have a fecal impaction (god, i hope not) etc.

Yes I have been able to go, I manage small relief if I take 6-8 sachets of movicol a day and the picolax encouraged 3 rather small bm's so I'm not majorly concerned about it. As for passing gas I wasn't really until this weekend and now I am passing more gas than usual but nothing major either, even my mother still has worse gas than I do and there's nothing wrong with her bowel haha!

In a little bit of worry because of this new pain being present, it's constant and gets worse, stabby if I lean forward etc, so I'm guessing it could be a muscle or something. Anyway because of that I left a quick message with ny ibd nurse and she said an xray I had more recently probably 2 weeks ago now showed much less constipation, so although im not regular and only passing small amounts she doesnt believe it's constipation causing a problem and is going to call me back in the morning as my dr wasn't in and she's puzzled as to what's going on

I'm not sure if I am pleased or not haha hopefully if nothing else I'll get some pain relief and I'll just invest in baggie clothes to hide my massive belly!! Haha

I can't imagine an entire month w/no BMs!!!! My gut and butt ache just thinking about it! I kept getting those serious cramps that insisted I "go" when I just could NOT get "it" OUT! It was like child birth labor but not producing any results.

Well I sure am glad you've been able to get rid of SOME of it, Novice. I hope you can continue getting rid of some, and getting rid of more than you are "manufacturing" while you are at it! Good luck and God bless!

Cheers for all the tips, have actually been in a situation about a year or so ago where i didnt have a bm for almost 3 months, needless to say my drs were getting quite concerned and i looked like an elephant haha.

I havent taken the citramag as the nurse didnt seem to think C was the issue anymore and this pain in my stomach seems to be lurking so i dont want to aggrovate what ever is going on in there. Still waiting for a call back from my doctor due to the new onset of pain, just got my fingers crossed they dont fancy going exploring!

I don't know if they'd be up for that I've never had a full colonoscopy for a start cos I've always been too inflamed for them to even complete a sigmoidoscopy and I've had a great deal of xrays mris and ct's while I was in hospital in June - July.

I'll definitely ask I'm not encouraging exploration haha but I think it needs to be done if this pain continues and humira does not kick in soon!!

But I've not even received a call back and it's a Friday -rolls eyes- so I'll be calling them Monday no doubt!

There's no time they'll be going home in an hour and I'm off out now, also don't have time for going to the ER either I'm going back to work after 3 months off lol I have no time for crohns disease anymore! Haha

Im not aware that you can buy enemas over the counter here in England, im quite sure I would have been told by now if they were I think I would have to go to hospital to have one to be honest...

I just stopped taking the movicol etc etc that i was pumping in daily and just waited... and waited lol but it seems to have done the trick along with lots of caffeine its stimulating something and i am going very little but every couple of days or so, a tad more comfortable! although sometimes i feel like i need to be going a fair few times a day now!!

I rang my IBD nurse etc etc cos of the pain still not heard anything, i think its disgusting, they didnt even book my next appointment in! so i had to make sure that was scheduled asap! Im next in on the 12th and i hate to say it but i think im going to suggest some sort of colonoscopy, ive only ever had a sigmoidoscopy and considering my bowel is still rarely functioning normally the pain is almost always constant and humira still isnt working! I think they needs to have a proper look!!

Im crossing my fingers for both of us! Im very fearful this could go to the other extreme as i seem to be feeling very urgent all of a sudden! and ive just returned to work!! sods law haha!!

oh quick question out of curiosity, do you suffer with blotchiness? I am always going blotchy whether its pain urgency generally uncomfortable sometimes for no reason!! haha its often embarrassing but doesnt last too long, just curious if its natural for our bodies to do that or if im just weird!
