Hi,
Hope you are better now. I had my third methotrexate injection on Wednesday and the nausea issue has become better this time (keep your fingers crossed). As I promised you, I saw my doc and he asked me about the general condition of my colon and I complained that D was still persistent but pain has subsided, he decided to switch me to Entocort capsules as I have a long way of steriods before MTX makes any effect.
As for the mouth ulcers, he was very much annoyed and prescribed me a folic acid supplement (1.5 mg /day) in addition to the multivitamin I take with a total of 2 mgs/day. Mouth ulcers are still horrible and I read that there are home remedies like using a funegreek or croiander gargle. I have't tried this yet. My doc was totally against the idea of using a local steriod.
What about the headache? Do you still have it? Do you take Zofran to combat nausea? I do actually have a headache as I have severe reflux nowadays (thanks to pred and pentasa) and was prescribed an anti-gastric and anti-ulcers drug.
The only problem I do suffer from and don't think is acossiated to MTX is D (it should reduce it, right?). Today, I have D like a crazy but I think it to be due to food allergy.
Take care!
