Fistula found Anus to Sigmoid Colon, whats next? (first one)

well just got back from the doctors office and he told me I have a 4cm fisutal from my anus to the sigmoid colon, I just had a rescetion in June so im kinda pissed that this is back already.  Can anyone help me and tell me what is next? what a seton is? what the procedure is like? what can I do until i have it fixed? should i be on antibiotics such as flagyl to prevent infectio? anything would help

Hey there, I had 3 or 4 fistulas down there and when I had mine, they took me to the OR and cleaned them out and then took gauze and packed it. The gauze would come out a little at a time and I would cut it off, when it came out all the way, I was pretty much healed.

I really don't know what a seton is though.
