Hello to everyone in the forum. It's been a while (5 years to be exact since i last posted) here. The last time I've posted here was 1 month before I went to study to Greece. 5 years later with a degree in my hands, my Crohn's arrives again!
Since the 16 of Semptember I had pain in my belly, had a little bit of a fever and high CRP (typical for me). I went to my GI and she told me after examing me phyically that I have to start on pred. Because my blood test wasn't that bad she told me that 16 mg would be enough. I had the 16 for a month. My blood test became normal, but I still had a bit of pain. On the last days of October I had a colonoscopy. The results indicated that i had stenosis (i don't know if thats the word - I am Cypriot for what its worth). My GI left from Cyprus and went to another country so I had to switch GI. The new doctor told me that maybe i have to go under surgery! Then i had an MRE to decide if it's necessary. The MRE indicated that the stenosis ain't that bad and its inflammatory.
I started taking budesonide 8 mg 3 days ago. I am optimistic about remission!
Although I have a terrible headache every other day! (maybe i can call it a migraine since it's troubling my left side only). I don't know what's causing that, I don't know if its the 3 month use of prednisone, maybe my relapse or something else. The headache occurs on my left side, behind my eye, hurts A LOT, even more than my belly! I CAN'T STAND IT! (panadol seem to work a bit, but I only relax when it goes away)
Things aren't going so well lately, and i've been down psychologically. I am 23 years old and I want to able to smile painfree again!
The only person that could understand me, was my ex-Girlfirend, who dumped me!
I will deeply appreciate any advice, any help from you, who TRULLY understand how I feel.
I wish that everyone gets well soon as well!
Stelios
