Has anyone purchased a medical alert bracelet for CD?  If so, where did you get it.

I just have one that says wallet card on the back and all my info is on a card in my wallet. I just saw a type of bracelet on TV the other day that has all your med info stored on it . It plugs into a computer that the ambulance has and all the info is there for them. Have not seen it on the net yet though.

My father wears the computer chip one around his neck.

I don't remember where he got it but I could ask.

I bought the charm that says see wallet card and made my own beaded bracelets. When I changed jobs I stopped wearing it but I have the charm on my key chain now. you can make your free card at the website below. I use that and laminate it with a machine I have. It is in the front of my wallet. Even if the id tag is not seen most would look in the wallet if I was unconscious. http://www.medids.com/free-id.php Karen

Hi I wear the medic alert bracelet. I have on it my CD, high blood pressure and alergic to penicillian.

I bought one of those stainless steel stretch bracelets on eBay. The seller has a large choice of disease charms. He had one for Crohn's and one for Pred, so when I'm on Pred I can pop on the pred charm, or remove it when I'm not! They are cheap and good quality.

I bought one of their custom tags for a friend of mine with hearing disability along with a special implant so MRIs are out of the question for her. Due to her condition, she might be found unconscious, and apparently unable to communicate when she comes to. There aren't really off-the-shelf tags for such a series of conditions, but Lazrart made one for just a few bucks.

Very affordable for the services they provide.

tmlindsey- i purchased medical alert buttons (after considerable shopping around) for both my elderly parents. this has given me peace of mind, as well as emergency help for them at the push of a button. anyway, best of luck to everyone in their search!

I used to have a SOS talisman as too many illnesses/diseases and couple of medicine allergies so too much to fit on medi alert ones. Then I ran out of space to put everything on the paper bit inside the SOS talisman so now have a medic alert bracelet that is connected to an online medical registry that I can update whenever I need to and has a little charm attached to the bracelet with my access file reference number on it so anyone can see my medical history and current prescriptions on it if needed.

I got mine through a mail order card at CVS. I had them engrave on the front. Cronh's Disease and Diabetes see wallet card. It was not too expensive either. Some whwere @ $40.00. Look in CVS next to the pharmacist or just ask the pharmacist. I hope this helps.

I got mine from www.idtagsonline.com. I liked this site as it had one with velcro strap with stainless plate. quick service. the stainless steal is very good quality. I wear it for my remicade but also for my coumidin (blood thinner) and the rest of 12 medications I take each day!! Mine states my name, my three main medical conditions and states "see wallet for current medications.

I bought mine from walgreens and it is the kind that plugs into the computer USB and when u plug it in it puts the program on your computer and whenever i need to update anything i plug it back in change the info and save it back on my bracelet.Its waterproof and comfortable to wear.
