Rock and a hard place.

I am extremely scared, frustrated and confused. I am new as I am sure some of you know. I am currently having a really bad flare. I went to my gp last Friday as I am waiting on a referral to a new gi. He put me on a low dose of prednisone and it's not helping very much, neither is the Vicodin he has me on. I am cramping so bad that I have spent the last two days in bed. I have to babysit tonight and I have an appt with my attorney Thursday to go over some paperwork for my custody case. I have left a message for my gp this morning, but he hasn't gotten back with me yet. I don't know what to do... I am getting worse and worse and can't afford to get much sicker as I won't be able to keep up with my responsibilities. Does anyone have any advice? I am trying to keep from having to go to the hospital.

I am on a clear liquid diet and have contacted WWW.ccfacommunity.org and they don't offer any hotlines and the nearest support group is over an hour away. Ugh... I don't know what to do.

Also, I've noticed facebook has some CCFA/CCFC groups or other crohn's groups.
