What is sed rate blood test?

Doc said mine is high it is 33 and should be 20 she said they don't know if it from flu or crohns! Any input ? Thanks

Yes, second Lovemyboys09. My GI would not consider 33 to be high. But the most important thing is that some meds affect the results of ESR. I was told that pred would mask the tests and the result would be always normal despite the fact that the person could be suffering from inflammation. Mine has always been like that for the one year and a half and it was useless performing them. On the other hand, other meds would elevate the results w/o having inflammation. That is what I read about Buedsonide since I am on it.
