does this drug cause a rise in your psa or prostititis

It is my understanding of the drug, that it is not absorbed into the bloodstream, staying inside the bowel. Therefore, it should not, and has not raised my psa when I was taking it. Now I'm on a burst of prednisone and my psa was just drawn. My urologist will be calling shortly.

not that this has anything to do with anything...but you shouldn't have "relations" for three days prior to having a PSA drawn..will cause a rise in your PSA. Just as an FYI
