Please call your GI asap. The fever/temperature, throbbing pain, and mucus are signs of infection which may or may not be an abcess. A quick blood test will tell your doc if there is an infection that needs to be investigated.
yes, I had severe peri-anal and peri-vaginal, recto-vaginal fistulas with symptoms like yours. I wish we'd caught mine early on. Thought the pain and temps were due to the disease and anemia. Catch it early and could be cleared up with antibiotics and the new biologics out there.
