Before diagnosis, I noticed I was extremely thirsty all of the time. I only drank water, and was never satisfied. Every time i did a urine test, results would come back saying i'm dehydrated. I think electrolytes are crucial, but you can obtain them through food. Unfortunately for the bulk of us, when you have these inflammatory bowel diseases, one broken switch in the stomach stops the digestion process and flushes everything out of the system.
Supplementing with Emergen-C packets will help, along with coconut water (my favorite) and gatorade.
You should see if you can find out if you have Low Aldosterone, these are usually the symptoms.
