I am amazed at all the different ways you in the US, have to pay for things. Here in Canada, when you are covered with Medical, you never pay for anything. Even if your doctor ordered really expensive tests, they are always free. The only time you have an added expense, is if you opt to get what we call "extended coverage". This coverage is through an independant insurance company (you pay a monthly amount) and it covers you for things like paying for othopedic back braces, shoes, it gives you private room in the hospital, prescript
ions, physiotherapy, massages, etc. I did forget to mention in my post that families that make a combined income of over $25,000 a year pay around $60.00 a month for their Health care coverage, and if you make $50,000 you pay $150.00 a month. This is to cover the whole family, and once you pay your monthly amount you don't have any more hidden costs, except for a prescript
ion. I have never paid for anything as I am considered low income, but my son, his wife and 2 children fall in the $150.00 a month category. If for instance, he were to be admitted to the hospital to have surgery (even if it was
open heart surgery) had to have a barage of tests, and had to stay in the hospital for a month, he would leave the hospital and never pay anything.
My main question to you Kazbern and petittarte is why are so many Americans so against President O'Bama's Health Care Plan, won't it help everyone with alot of these issues you are both talking about?
