Vedolizumab (MLN0002) Phase 3 Trial

Hi

I am new to this forum but have been suffering wtih Crohns for 4 years now and have yet to go into remission. I've tried many medications with no luck, so recently my doctor is wanting to enroll me in a research study for Vedolizumab. I'm a bit nervous but desperate for relief of my symptoms. I still don't fully qualify for the trial yet because I cant be steady on a 30mg dose of Prednisone without having terrible symptoms. they are giving me 2 more weeks to be steady at 30mg or I can't qualify, I'm hoping I can maintain my symptoms in the mean time. I am writing hoping to hear from someone who has either been in a trial or who is also considering the trial if they have any information on this drug.

Kori , I have uc and in hospital atm
My Gi is looking to put me on this trial as well.
She also said I need to be stable with my symptoms and on a lower dose of pred. But since I'm on iv steroids atm she isn't sure where I stand and have to ask the trial team.
If u google the drug there is some positive feed back on this drug
They say it targets the gut and has less side effects then Imuran
so I'm hoping I qualify .
