I've been wondering if anyone knows if you are having troubles keeping things in your GI tract for long (ie your going to the bathroom right after you eat!) if drinking protien shakes would allow you to absorb some of the protien better than say solid food? Or would they be the same? Just wondering cause I seem to be having a bit of a flare up right now and really hoping it won't last very long! I'm a exhausted and need something to give me energy, rather than just running to the bathroom right after and seeing it come out :(
Also something off topic, if there are any teenagers on here, or young adults basically anyone haha, I have been realizing lately I'm not the average teenager. I can't stay up all night partying and expect to do anything for the next couple of days because it does take a lot out me! Last night I was stupid and stayed up til 3am with my girlfriends chatting away, then had to wake up at 7:30am and do a 3 hour course (for lifeguarding!) I am really paying for my mistakes, but it just bums me out a bit sometimes when things like this happen cause I remember I'm not like everyone else, and I can't say "yolo" like everyone else, cause yeah you only love once, but for chronically ill people you have to be careful what you do cause it can affect the rest of your week! :$
Sorry for ranting, it's just sometimes hard to deal with. Espically in the summer when all of your friends have no worries whatsoever expcept about not having a boyfriend or whatever. :p
