Hang in there! I know it gets hard sometimes, but we can't give up! I try to focus on all the things I am going to do when I feel better (small and large things). Yes, I don't know when that will be always, but a time will come when things are better. I was really sick for several years and have now been in remission for several years. There are days or weeks or months when I don't feel good or I am down, but I can't let this crap get the best of me!

Can you take immodium for the diarrhoea?

I get tired of the disease myself - utterly tired. I saw a spoof Garfield cartoon the other day which summed up accurately what I sometimes wish I could do, but it's a bit too dark to post here, I think. (A despairing Jon rips out a part of his guts with his bare hands... <_<)

Er well anyway - hope you manage to enjoy Hawaii anyway! :p ... Sounds like trite and obvious advice, but just do what you can and try not to stress about what you can't do...

Yeah, I can understand that particular fear actually. I won't take Imodium myself, out of a general fear of getting 'backed up'. But I know some Crohnies do take it; you could always ask your GI about it.

Have you ever seen the film Alien? And a certain chest-busting scene? Apparently that scene was inspired by the writer's Crohn's... >_>

Hope you can manage to enjoy the vacation. Personally, if I'm ill, sitting out in the sun does help make me feel better. (Though technically speaking, I've almost forgotten what sunshine looks/feels like.)

I'll bring it just incase. I'm one of those people that doesn't like to take anything unless it's absolutely necessary.
