so happy i found your blog! i have been a gluten free vegan for almost 5 years, 2 years as an 80/10/10 raw foodist. well, my colitis HATED 80/10/10 and i’ve been flaring horribly ever since. today, i decided to abandon the vegan lifestyle and i had eggs and tuna for the first time in years. i honestly feel so much better just after these few meals. i’m sticking with paleo since SCD is just too strick for me and i don’t eat dairy. ethically, it was VERY hard for me to go back to eating eggs and meat, but i’ve come to terms with that. my health depends on it and if that means i have to eat it to thrive, i will.
today my doctor put an order in for humira. i’m hoping that paleo will get me into remission and i’ll never have to take it! are you on medications for your UC or do you control it just with diet?

@Oilily Thank you! :) I hope you enjoy!
@Joanna Thank you! Yeah I hope the paleo works for you too! I'm sorry to hear about
that:( I was doing an 80/10/10 diet about
a year ago, and I believe it also contributed to setting me into a flare. Right now I'm at about
80% healed. I'm currently taking 12 pills of asacol, Xifaxan (which is an antibiotic which has been shown to get UC back into remission in some cases), probiotics and boswellia, and then the SCD Diet (minus meat and dairy). I do eat pastured, farm eggs, and some wild, ocean-caught fish, since I need the protein to heal. I hope you enjoy the recipes on my site! Thanks for the feedback! Happy Healing:)

Thanks for sharing. I can't eat high fiber veggies without getting into trouble, but it all looks delicious...you are a great food photographer in addition to your cooking skills.
