.. Acidophilus? Which brand do you take? Any replies will be very much appreciated ..

My mother has a history of diverticulitis and IBS. She does take acidophilus, and it does help. Doesn't really matter what brand. She chooses target's generic brand. Says it works great!

I don't take it...I could not get past the initial crampiness of taking them.

I just started a new probiotic for me..vsl3 DR..I woke up and actually had an almost 'normal' bowel movement for the first time in months!its not cheap but man is it worth it!!
I have also tried over the counter from the health food store ones..a company named jarrow is a pretty good one.

I take acidolpholus the cheap CVS brand. It does help. I have also taken the probotic Phillips Colon Health. More expensive and I really don't feel any different when taking it. I started it a little before I knew I was going to be taking a round of antibiotics. Probotics are very helpful but you have to start them slowly and some can make things worse for some people so it may be trial and error for you. Good luck.
