For someone with small bowel disease, especially in the ileum, it seems like you should have been told about
low residue diets. I guess you and your DR have a lot to talk about
next week.
Liquid diets are available OTC (Ensure, etc.), but a lot of folks here say they have too much sugar and make them feel ick. You can also get meal replacements by prescript

When I've had to do liquid/low residue, which hasn't been often, I resort to making my own smoothies out of lactose-free milk and banana and yogurt and whatever else comes to mind. Soups are liquid, of course, and you can make them hearty if you can tolerate the meat and/or legumes. Avocado and ice cream are also low residue,
