Any new preps come out in the last 2 years? I'm due for a colonoscopy and hoping for a miracle. The thought of drinking all that prep already has me gagging. The preps make me so nausious.

I have not used it yet but there is a newer one called Suprep that is only 360ml (2 six ounce bottles). A friend has tried it and she said it didnt taste bad at all and was a breeze because its such a low volume.

Have you done the Miralax + gatorade prep. I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread! A big miralax mixed into some orange gatorade. Drank it without throwing half down the drain like the old preps. I had no cramping, the taste was not bad and it worked QUICKLY. They also try to give me the dulcolax tablets---those give me nausea and vomiting so I skip them.

Thanks. I will ask for Suprep. Still a large volume to drink but it's water. I think I've done miralax/Gatorade before. It's probably why I can't drink Gatorade anymore. I also can't stand the thought of jello and plain chicken broth thanks to way too many colonoscopy preps.

I had Suprep three weeks ago for my colonoscopy and it was by far the best prep I've had (not that any of them are that great). It's the standard no solid food the day of the prep. You get a 6 oz bottle of the prep and mix with 16 oz of water. I ended up adding ice to mine to make it really cold. It tastes somewhat like cherry cough syrup and still has a bit of that salty taste, but it is much easier to get down. You follow with 2 more 16oz glasses of water within the next hour. Then you repeat the whole process again the next morning. I really had no issues except it was harder to get the second round down with all the water but it is manageable. The prep worked well and no issues with the test.

Just a thought - when I have a colonoscopy scheduled, I start days before lightening up my food (fiber) intake. If I go "soft" diet for a day, then liquid the whole day before starting the prep, I am already pretty cleaned out and don't have to drink the whole prep. People who say they are going to really pig out at their last meal before beginning the prep are only making it that much harder to clean out. I find it's much better to be a little hungry and tired for 48 hours than dealing with the nausea and cramps for 12 hours.

Im not sure what my bro took for his prep recently, but he said it was 2 smaller containers, might be the Suprep. I otoh had to do the whole gallon of GoLightly, god awful taste, but I chugged it so fast and with sprite after, I got it all down (and back out) rather quickly.

I've had the Suprep for the past 2 years for Colonoscopies. Still has a nasty taste but at least there's a split time between having the 2, 6 ounce bottles. I just slam them down as fast as possible to get it over with.

I have no helpful advice, but I know that feeling. The last scope I did, I managed to keep down about
~80% of the first half of the prep, but after that I just started puking it up. As it turned out, it didn't matter because A) I hadn't eaten in like 2 days, so there wasn't much to clean out and B) my guts were so swollen they couldn't get all the way in anyway.
