Anyone used Dicyclomine?

Has anyone taken Dicyclomine? My doctor just started me on it because of the pain I'm in. If I don't get pain relief from that, he's going to have my GI surgeon do an exploratory laproscopic surgery to see if more adhesions have formed. I was hoping my surgeries were over for the year. If you've taken Dicyclomine, did it help, and how long did it take to work?

I didn't seem to get any pain relief in my bowels didn't make me drowsy either.
