successfully treating Crohn's with fecal infusions

I treated my son with fecal infusions for his Crohn's/ulcerative colitis with great success. Fecal infusions are completely natural and recolonize the gut with a healthy balance of bacteria, therefore crowding out the bad bacteria which cause disease. He is now completely well.

How was your son diagnosed with Crohn's, or as you say "Crohn's/ulcerative colitis." Do you have any evidence that it wasn't just c. diff. or another bacterium?

Plus, Crohn's disease is not just in the large intestine; it goes through the entire digestive tract. I've had strictures in my esophagus, for example, that I've had to get dilated. I'm not sure that a fecal matter transplant would be very effective in my throat!

This sounds good, but what about the bad bacteria?  You are just introducing new bacteria, but doing nothing to to get rid of the bad bacteria that is causing the problem. 

The SCD diet does the same as a fecal transplant and goes one step further.  With the SCD diet, you  introduce good bacteria into the gut by eating homemade yogurt, but you also eliminate the bad bacteria in your gut by a diet restricting the sugars and carbs bad bacteria feed on.

All right, so it's meant to work for Crohn's colitis, but does it work for Crohn's in the terminal ileum and higher? (Small bowel, basically.) I've got Crohn's colitis, but also Crohn's in the TI - I wanna know this before I even consider inserting a stranger's poo up my rear end.

This is gross, but there was a guy called Crazy Al on the U.C board, he drank the fecal matter mixture. I'm not kidding you.

He did the enema transplants and drank it also.

I was told Fecal transplants aren't as effective in treating crohns as they are with treating colitis. At the CDD (a research base for alternative treatments for IBD) they use anti-MAP drugs to treat Crohns.

Oh my goodness, that guy's thread almost made me throw up. Ugh. I'm doing Remicade, which is working just great and has me in total remission with the exception of a fistula that re-opened from c. diff. I'll stick with a needle over a "poop shake" any day!
