Please HELP!!! ?UC from the age of 15 now at 23 its chron's

Hi all wondered if i could get some help been diagnosed with UC from the age of 15 i have failed all UC medicine i was at the stage of just waiting for a drug to get licensed here in the Uk if i couldn't wait it would have been surgey however specalist said lets do a colonoscopy as not had one done in a few years. So he found severe ulceration very high up, so its now chron's disease this shocked me because i really didnt expect after all these years the diagnosis would change.

I have always researched UC but know nothing on chron's so would like advice on diet medication just everything really.

UC and CD are really similar in diet and treatment. The only difference is that CD is your entire digestive tract, while UC stays in the large intestine. So surgery doesn't cure CD but it can be necessary if too much has happened. What meds have you tried? Are you on anything now?

medicine ive had so far lots and lots some of which infliximab,prednisone melsazaline, azathioprine, methotrexate, tacrolimus, ciclosporin the list is endless.
specilaist has just given me a new form of steriod just while i wait to see him before he then decides on a medicince for chron's. From research i did think they were pretty much the same just think i got a bit scared of a new diagnosis.

I know, it can be scary. Mine was switched earlier this year when I got a fistula. What steroid are you on? So the Remicade didn't work? What about Humira?

Im taking beclomethasone. No remicade was a fail although it did work for a year. I've think I've had humira. Will research and check thou.
Oh need to update my profile baby is now 14 months old and Im not in remission pregnancy was a plus for me i was so well. Perhaps i should have a baby every year to stay well ha Haha.
Bit worried that the surgery percentage is higher in crohn's than uc. Surgery freaks me out just fingers crossed i can find a medicine to work.

I have not had humira this was mentioned to me in my last meeting before the colonoscopy was done. So maybe that is what i shall be put on .have you had this!!? It does sound good and from the same family as infliximab which did work for me for a while.

I haven't done Humira, but I hear it does fairly well with people who had success with Remicade but can't do it anymore.
