Worried that I may have Chrohns

I'm new here and am hoping I can relieve some anxiety by getting this off my chest. I am 31 years old. Back in November, I went to see my doctor for constipation and some lower back pain. I was told to do a colon cleanse (trader joes) and that I was deficient in Vitamin D and that my CRP was elevated, meaning I had inflamation. I was also told to do a liver cleanse diet (fruits and veggies) for a few days to help my liver out since my gallbladder was removed in 5/10. At that time I felt heart burn like symthoms. I did the colon and liver cleanse but still felt the pain. Now a month later, I have loose stools w/ some stomach pain on the left side. I had more bloodwork, a CT scan of the abdomen, xray with barium, an ultrasound. Everything was normal, except slightly low on potassium (3.1). My stools are loose and I can see what I eat (mainly veggies) in my stool. I fear of malabsorption and having crohns. The anxiety alone is driving me crazy. I have an appointment with a specialist and I have fears of what the may find. I have a 10 year old and the thought of having an illness terrified me. Any advise or comments are much appreciated right now cause no one around me knows what I'm going through. Thanks.

Try not to panic. People who eat lots of veggies can see it in their stools without having a malabsorption syndrome or Crohn's. It's good you are seeing a specialist, but try not to get stressed. In the meantime, I don't think those cleanses are all that good for you. Just try to eat a normal healthy diet.

Thank you, sometimes I feel like the sympthoms got worse with the colon cleanse, which is all natural but I haven't been the same.

Don't believe anyone who says they found a cure.

Aw, I'm sorry for what you're going through Roxxy :( As mentioned, Crohn's can be life altering to some degrees but you certainly can still live a full life with it...most find remission with meds as well, likely the sooner you get an actual diagnosis, the sooner you'll be placed on medication. Also, for all of us it's completely individual as well, some are milder and find it quite easy to maintain their disease.

And I agree, don't believe anyone that say's they've found a cure, they may have found remission by multiple ways, meds, diet, etc but that is not a cure, it's remission...CD can flared or be in remission for various lengths of time for each individual.

I'm worried about malnutrition? If it is IBD and the bowel is damaged by IBD how do we get nutrition then? I'm worried about not getting enough nutrients to live.

I'm still suffering and am having a colonoscopy and endoscopy scheduled for tomorrow morning. I haven't been eating well, just fruits. My stool is green with black specks. I'm really scared. The anxiet is driving me mad. My breath smells like my stool. A weird smell. This is rough.
