Advice for hospital after surgery

So, after a 6 year remission, I'm having my second resection on the 18th. Last time was not expected and was through the ER so there was zero planning. I'll have had 2 weeks since I went to the surgeon this time. I've been trying to plan for every little detail on my hospital stay and I've realized that I've forgotten so much since 2006!!

I'm a 26yr old female, does anyone have advice about what pjs I should take? I normally sleep in tshirts but I'm pretty sure I need something easier for monitors and wires, etc to access through. No bras, right? I wore a lot of the Pink collection from VS in 2006 but I'd rather not have so many shiny graphics at this stage in my life haha

After surgery day, when you can take the gown off, what is the best option to wear? I have some mukluk slippers and a lot of new socks and a lightweight robe.. just struggling with everything beyond that. I can't even remember if I had to wear special underwear to accommodate incisions?

I've always thought my first resection felt like yesterday until I started planning for this one. My memory is NOT helping me so any advice or tips that I'm leaving out, please share!!

If you have an IV in your arm, it really is almost impossible to get clothes on and off because of the sleeves. I usually just wear the gowns they give me, especially if something soils because of a leak in a bag, wound re-opening, etc.

Thanks, everyone! I had completely forgotten about the leaking... how lovely. Now I remember why I didn't want my sorority sisters visiting much last time :-/ Looks like I'll invest in a nice (not TOO nice) new blanket to put on my bed and that will be my comfort.
