I am currently 25 years old and have had crohn's since I was 17 years old. I have always been active, working out 7 days a week and working a full time job plus two part time jobs. I was put on Remicade last year and since then I have noticed that my energy levels have been considerably lower and I get tired much quicker. I am not able to workout as long or as hard anymore and have lost my drive. I have also had really dry skin on my face and back this past year. Another thing I have noticed is that I feel like my brain is in a "fog" all the time and my memory has been terrible. I do not feel near as sharp as I used to be and have a hard time concentrating. Also ever since the Remicade I have had terrible stomach noises every time I ate, which is very embarrassing. I had a CT scan done two weeks which found several areas of considerable narrowing throughout my small bowel and my doc stated the Remicade was no longer working and had me stop immediately. My doc is working with my insurance company right now and is trying to get them to cover Humira, which is always battle trying to get them to cover new meds. My question is that are these symptoms I am having typical with other Remicade users? Is there any supplements/vitamins I can take to help? Any chance Humira is gonna help with these symptoms?
